Garry has held several senior and Board level appointments in over 25 years’ of being in the Property, Facilities and Asset Management markets; leading and developing many innovations throughout this period. Garry possesses excellent business acumen supported by high values, diligence and a high work ethic. A consultative man manager, believing that communication and leadership is far more about engaging people and marshalling energy behind the company's values, vision and direction.

Achievements:

  • Developed the interest of Investors and Funders as Managing Director of Pace Innovations Ltd to create initial seed funding to launch the business in chosen markets and sectors. Drew up Business Plans, CCF’s/P&L’s and sales collateral, including, presentation material, product brochures, letter heads etc. thereby creating the brand of the business 

  • Provided Subject Matter Expert services to G4S (Facilities Management, Mobile Engineering, Helpdesk and CAFM) for various bids including Her Majesties Courts and Tribunal Services (HMRC); the Total Facilities Management bid for Gatwick Immigration Removal Centres (IRCs) which included Capital Projects and Lifecycle Management. Developed the Technical Facilities Management (Static and Mobile Engineering) solution for the Magnox Nuclear Decommissioning tender

  • Won the £2bn Crown Commercial Services Facilities Management Framework; the £130m LUPC Estates Maintenance and Minor Works Framework Agreements for public sector clients; Hinkley Point C Facilities Management contract; Abu Dahbi Al Raha Beach Asset and Facilities Management Strategy and Solution 

  • Advised as a Subject Matter Expert/Consultant for a new Facilities Management and Mobile Engineering business in Cyprus, which included setting up a JV Company with Hellenic Mining and developing the  offering. This included systems, processes, operations and business development functionality

  • Developed the Concept Designs for the HMRC "Buildings of the Future" scheme; a project initiated by the HMRC to define their future buildings portfolio, which involved working with the Estates team, HMRC building users, designers and installers etc.

  • Reviewed the delivery of a £8bn Public Private Partnership (PPP) Total Facilities Management contract, assessing both the financial/operational delivery models defining the delta between current and potential market value, saving £80m p.a. by restructuring the contract

  • Developed the business model for Norland Managed Services new FM division. This included internal networking with MD’s to negate the effects of change; working with procurement, ops and sales to generate a consistency

  • As the Interim National Solutions Director for Balfour Beatty, provided support to all parts of the Facilities Management business, which included working as part of all departments and teams to ensure compliance  whilst acting as the Subject Matter Expert for the technical services provision for the £250m BAA Framework tendering processes which included contracts at all of the BAA terminals and Airports

  • Launched a ‘new business start-up’ of a Technical Facilities Management mobile division, offering commercial and residential property maintenance (PPM and reactive), refurbishments, refits and fit-out services. The division included a disaster recovery section aimed at attaining insurance work/referrals for the same market; our main clients became Dunlop Hayward and Jordan’s from whom we achieved a service turnover of £3m in the first year
